FI302
Foundation Fieldbus to
Current Converter
Model: WM-SGCN-SMR-002
The FI302 converts a FIELDBUS
signal into a 4 to 20 mA signal. If the frequency converter does not have
FIELDBUS capability, the bus signal can be converted into a conventional 4
to 20 mA by the FI302. The FIELDBUS signal can, for example, be a request
from the bus to a frequency converter to set a conveyor speed to 3.4 ft/s.
This instrument has three
independent channels, which means that three 4 to 20 mA outputs are
available.

FP302
Foundation
Fieldbus to Pneumatic Signal Converter
Model: WM-SGCN-SMR-004
In order to connect
existing valve actuators to a FIELDBUS system, SMAR developed a
FIELDBUS to pneumatic signal converter, with very low air consumption
and a very stable output signal. A 0 to 100% digital signal from the
FIELDBUS is converted into a 3 to 15 psi pneumatic signal according to
a characteristic curve selected by the user. Besides the normal PID
control function, linearization, master capability, alarms and
damping, the FP302 offers signal limitation and reversing and many
other features for valve actuation:
- Output signal: 3 to 15 psi;
- Supply pressure: 20 psi;
- Air consumption: 0.15 scfm (20 psi
supply pressure);
- The built-in volume booster allows
high air capacity (4 SCFM);
- Vibrating resistant;
- Can be mounted in any position;
- Accuracy: 0.4 % of the span.

FR302
Fieldbus Relay
Model: WM-SGCN-SMR-006
FR302 is a Fieldbus device
that has two built-in relays making integration of Fieldbus and conventional
devices such as solenoids, on/off valves, electrical actuators, motors,
pumps, starters, etc. The FR302 Fieldbus Relay can be located at the field,
mounted close to the conventional output devices without the need to run the
conventional wiring to the control room. The FR302 is an integral part of
SYSTEM302 but also integrates into other systems supporting FOUNDATION™
Fieldbus.
An extensive
function block library enables the FR302 to perform logic and regulatory
control functions in the field integrating it to the control strategy with
other H1 Fieldbus devices on the same network. Insatiable function blocks
provide great flexibility in control strategy. Link master capability allows
the FR302 to work as a backup LAS for greater availability of network
communications.
One very
interesting application for FR302 is as interface for electrical actuators.
Any electrical actuator, including Smar series AD/AR/AL becomes a Fieldbus
actuator, making FR302 ideal in upgrades and plant reinstrumentations. The
PID Step block is ideal in these cases since it can modulate the valve
without the need for actual position feedback.
Some
Features:

FOUNDATION™ Fieldbus;
- Insatiable Function Blocks for regulatory
and discrete control in the field;
- Two built-in Solid State Relay Outputs;
- Designed for DC and AC loads;
