MONITORS (Flow, Hazardous Zone, Powder, Opacity, Gas Analyzer) |
Model:
WM-MON-PCS-001
A range of products are available to monitor stack velocity in m/sec, dust concentration in mg/m3 , mass and emissions in Kg/hr or metric tons per year. Velocity coupled with concentration enables mass emissions to be calculated and given as an output from ONE specific instrument. |
Products
include those certified to German TUV BlmSchV 13 and 17 standards,
UK MCERTS Class 4 standards (ISO 10155) and calibrateable but non-certified
monitors. All stack monitors are calibrated to an iso-kinetic sample and
include zero, span and system self-checks. Both Electrodynamic and Dynamic
Opacity products are available to suit different process requirements.
Also available are single and multi-channel instruments as well as hazardous
zone monitors approved to Cenelec, UL, CSA and BVS standards for gas and
dust zones. Optional extras include remote calibration, onboard data logging, graphics display, broken bag prediction, normalization to oxygen, full data reporting and analysis and patented insulated probes for conductive dust, humid and wet applications. |

Model:
WM-MON-PCS-003
Ranges of powder flow monitors are available which include mass flow trending, flow/no flow, and powder velocity instruments. We use non-intrusive sensors for hygienic and non-disturbed flow applications for both concentration and velocity of powders in pneumatic transfer systems, gravity feed systems, hopper and silo filling as well as other powder or solids transfer lines. These monitoring techniques are suitable for Lean and Dune phase conveying applications, as well as spray drier efficiency monitoring. |
Model:
WM-MON-PCS-004
A range of products are available to monitor the ambient level of particulates, including PM-2.5 and PM-10 for workplace, machine tool, respiratory considerations and oil mist monitoring. Large volume air sampling systems for larger area particulate monitoring, e.g. for header houses, silos and loading bays. |

Model:
WM-MON-EMS-001 High Performance Opacity Monitoring System with Double-Pass Transmissometer does not have to mean complicated -This Model uses field proven and time tested optics and circuitry that is simple yet accurate. Each monitor and all its components are of the highest quality, pre-tested at the factory to your site specifications. The simple to follow instructions will have your monitor ready for service in hours after mechanical and electrical installation have been completed. EMS has taken the
approach to design equipment with accuracy, maintenance and serviceability
as the most important features. The EMS 1304 Opacity monitor is designed
with state of the art modular packaging with serviceability in mind. A
built-in TTL (through-the-lens) alignment system. The alignment target can
be viewed through a window on the transceiver. Adjustments to changes in
alignment are provide by a 3 point alignment system which is integral to the
air plenum. This insures optimum reliability while enabling the system to be
easily serviced and maintained in the field by plant service personnel. Model: WM-MON-EMS-003 Large numeric and
letter display show legends (programmable in English as well as other
languages) for the values of user defined variables. Dual five inch tall
bargraphs are used for instantaneous and average opacity. A third bargraph
is dedicated to window dirt accumulation. Tactile feedback membrane push
buttons allow operator interface through clearly defined legends with
minimum number of keystrokes. The control unit performs all vital
computations with resolution of 0.1% opacity (1mg/M3). EMS Model 1304 can
provide an output correlated to either stack exit opacity or mg/m3 . State
of the art circuitry eliminates calibration problems due to component aging,
temperature and line variations and light source aging. Outputs for
recording or control are in a 4-20mA format with selectable ranges and
averaging times. Display and outputs of alarms for opacity and fault
diagnostics are also provided. Model: WM-MONEMS-004 The service module is
used to pass signals to and from the transceiver and control unit, display
opacity via digital meter, initiate maintenance zero and span cycles and
insertion of external current meter in the transceiver to control unit
4-20mA loop. The service module is very useful for trouble shooting or
during EPA audits as the correlated opacity can be displayed on the DPM.
This feature eliminates the necessity for a second person and sometimes
difficult communication between the control unit and the sensor locations.

![]() is designed for Opacity applications that require on-line calibration. A manually operated zero & span optical device is provided to calibrate the system without shutting down the process. Model: WM-MON-EMS-002A High performance Opacity Monitoring System with Double-Pass TransmissometerThe stack mounting
transmissometer sensor system consists of an optical transceiver mounted on
one side of the stack and a retroreflector mounted on the other. The main
light source is electronically modulated making it insensitive to ambient
light effect and projects a collimated beam of light which is split into a
reference beam and a measurement beam. The ratio-measurement technique
provides continuous automatic compensation for variations in light source
intensity to ensure prolonged instrument accuracy and stability. The measurement beam
is projected across the stack to a retroreflector which reflects it back
across the stack to the measurement detector. The output of the measurement
and reference detectors are transmitted to the control room mounted
monitoring unit where all output signals are analyzed. An on-line reflector
is supplied with each Model 1302 system. This reflector is calibrated to the
clear stack or duct condition and locked in place and each reflector is
serial numbered to match the system. A slot is provided for the span filter
to check the up scale calibration. The swing away sensor
make cleaning the windows a breeze and for on-line testing. Both sensor have
alignment pins to assure no change in alignment after the sensor have been
open and closed. Large heavy duty latches make for a air and water tight
seal. The sensors are are attached to the air plenum by two drop on pivot
pins. This makes for easy installation and should service ever be required
easy removal, just swing open and lift off the pivot pins. The Model 1302
includes a built-in TTL (through-the-lens) alignment system. The alignment
target can be viewed through a window on the transceiver. Adjustments to
changes in alignment are provide by a 3 point alignment system which is
integral to the air plenum. TTL Alignment - Enables the operator to visually check system alignment at anytime during operation. Beam Uniformity - Multiple lens condenser optical system assures uniform radiation for improved accuracy. Double Pass Measurement - High sensitivity, freedom from errors due to vibration or minor misalignment. On-line zero and span calibration. Low Maintenance - Long term, continuous operation with a minimum of operator intervention. Insensitive to Ambient Light - The solid-state light modulation system eliminates interference due to ambient light. Control unit with digital display Swing away Transceiver & Retro- Easy to clean. Air plenum - Accepts plant air or remote air purge blower Options: Air Purge Weather Covers Stack exit correlation 0-1000 mg/m³ Display 6 minute averager |

This is a precision dual beam Transmissometer with Solid-State electronic
modulated source to provides continuous, low maintenance, precision
measurement of
opacity, smoke and optical density in industrial applications. It is a
cost-effective instrument that serves as an aid in operating pollution
and/or process control equipment.
Model: WM-MON-EMS-005 A High performance Dust/Opacity Monitoring System with Single-Pass TransmissometerThe sensor system
consists of an optical transmitter mounted on one side of the stack and a
detector mounted on the other. The light source is electronically modulated
making it insensitive to ambient light effect and projects a collimated beam
of light. The 4-20mA output range is 0-100% Opacity and can be connected to
a number of devices to control or display the opacity. |
Swing Away Sensor
Cleaning the optic
windows are a breeze. Both sensor have alignment pins to assure no change in
alignment after the sensor have been open for cleaning. Large heavy duty
latches make for a air and water tight seal. Clean purge air can be
connected to the inlet of the mounting flange provided to keep the windows
clean for long periods of time. Pipe duct of stacks
from 1 to 46 inches can be measured. Typical uses are for bag houses,
exhaust fan control, ideal for meeting Title V opacity (smoke) regulations
soon to be enacted, oven exhaust, diesel test stand exhaust, duct fire
alarm, multi-point systems and more.
