HORST heating tapes are flexible, flat heating elements, ready to be put into operation and deliverable in many different lengths. They enable the subsequent fitting of a heating to almost any form. Whether humidity-proof, self-limiting, high temperature resistant or extremely small bending radius - our heating tapes and heating cables have many uses. Typical operations are the heating of pipes, glass jars, ultrahigh vacuum plants, capillary tubes, containers, flat surfaces, pumps, valves or ball valves.

Anyplace where liquids or gases have to be
heated and transported simultaneously HORST heating hoses do good work.
In principle the construction is always the same: a heated pressure hose
(e.g. made of PTFE, FEP) gets an insulation and an outside protective hose
(e.g. metal braid, silicone, polyamide or steel). A temperature sensor and a
connection line with a multipole plug are standard. In order to avoid
overheating and to control the temperature a suitable temperature regulator
should generally be used.

The pressure hose may have a pressure-resistance up to 600 bar. Inner
diameters between 2 mm and 100 mm and temperatures up to 450 °C are
available. Even the distance is unproblematically: HORST supplies you with
heating hoses in lengths from less than 50 cm up to more than 50 m!
For longer distances heating hoses can be connected - if necessary with
heated couplings. We offer armatures made of different materials you can
choose from: steel, high-grade steel or brass. On request the heating hoses
may be equipped with lapped or integral flanges. We want to draw your
attention to some special designs:
HORST heating hoses may have several exchangeable PTFE-bores
Self-limiting heating hoses guarantee a constant temperature over the whole
distance. They are deliverable as yard-ware and can be cut and finished on
the spot. Therefore we offer special mounting sets.
Analysis heating hoses with integrated heated filters are perfect for the
usage with mobile measuring instruments.
Adapted to the confirming requirements HORST heating hoses even may be used
in Ex-zones.

Self-limiting heating tapes "think for themselves": they regulate the heating power corresponding to the outside temperature. So a homogeneous heating-up is ensured. There is no problem in installing the heating tape in overlapping layers. That makes them particularly appropriate for uneven surfaces like pumps, valves and junctions.
The heating tapes are deliverable as yard-ware with a finishing set for the individual installation on the spot. But it is also possible to deliver them ready-made for connection in the required length.

Yard ware for self-finishing. These heating
cables have been developed especially for the heating of industrial
installations, gutters, pipes, containers and similar applications in the
open air and in moist rooms. They can be sold by the meter, so you can make
it ready for connection directly at the object with our special finishing
set. But the heating cable is as well deliverable ready for connection in
every required length.
